Project Summary

Run Against Violence is a youth project aimed at preventing youth violence and strengthening civic courage through sport and non-formal education. By using physical activity as a unifying and educational tool, the project actively engages young people in youth work while encouraging positive, responsible participation in their local communities.

The project raises awareness about different forms of violence—physical, verbal, and psychological—and equips participants with practical tools to recognize, prevent, and respond to violent behavior. A central element of the project is the symbolic public event “Run Against Violence”, which promotes standing up against violence while spreading messages of respect, inclusion, and solidarity within local communities.

Objectives

  • To raise awareness among young people about physical, verbal, and psychological violence and its impact on individuals and communities
  • To equip participants with prevention and intervention skills to address violence in their daily lives and local environments
  • To promote civic courage, active citizenship, and positive community engagement among young people
  • To foster social inclusion by creating an intercultural learning environment based on respect, tolerance, and cooperation
  • To improve physical and mental well-being through sport-based activities that support emotional resilience and stress management
